NCAA and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) under the EU-CORSIA Africa and Caribbean Project are proud to host the National Capacity Building Workshop on Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), Offsetting, and CORSIA Eligible Emission Units from 22nd to 26th July 2024.

This is essential to technically equip national CORSIA implementers from the various State entities, that are in the forefront of contributing to the CORSIA regulatory development and the review process of the State Action Plan of Namibia. The workshop was opened by the NCAA Executive Director, Ms. Toska Sem and she emphasized that “This workshop serves as a platform to strengthen our national capacity and foster collaboration among stakeholders for effective implementation of CORSIA mechanisms”.

The first day (July 22, 2024) of the workshop began with opening remarks from hashtag #CORSIA and facilitated by #Monica Bonfanti, CORSIA Expert contracted under EASA. All presentations are accessible via the CORSIA portal (www.ncaa.com.na).
